Regulated Power Conversion Unit (RPCU)
The Astronics Regulated Power Conversion Unit (RPCU) performs the function of a traditional Transformer Rectifier Unit (TRU) leveraging solid state technology to provide dramatic improvements in performance while reducing size and weight.
Frequency Converter Unit (FCU)
The FCU converts variable power line frequency to 400Hz, leveraging recent advances in solid-state technology to provide dramatic improvements in performance over traditional frequency converter solutions.
Dual Frequency Converter Unit (DFCU)
The Dual Frequency Converter Unit (DFCU) provides 4kW of power via multiple channels of solid state electronic circuit breakers. The unique capability to provide either 115 or 230 volts AC enables passenger and utility power anywhere in the world the aircraft operates.
Windshield Heat
Numerous commercial transport and business jet platforms utilize Astronics Windshield Heat controllers. They have accumulated countless hours over many decades supplying power to the windshield, monitoring windshield temperature, and providing control function to the cockpit. These power controllers are time-proven solutions for both front and side windows for defogging and deicing.
