OmniBus II Ordering Information

OmniBus II Part Numbers

The part number for an OmniBus II product is a combination of the platform number, module number(s), CoPilot code, and options. This results in hundreds of possible part number combinations. Contact us for assistance in determining the best OmniBus II order number to fit your needs. Each platform core can accept one module. A core without a module (000) may be used for future expansion. OmniBus II part numbers have the following format:

XXX-YYY-YYY-YYY-YYY

where XXX is the Platform Number; YYY is a Module Number (2-core models will have 2 modules; 4-core models will have 4 modules). NOTE: OmniBus II and original OmniBus series modules are incompatible and cannot be interchanged between systems.

Example Part Numbers

  • 264-544-544-442-451
    4-core OmniBusBox II with 4 multi-function MIL-STD-1553 channels (two 2-channel modules), 16 programmable R/T ARINC 429 channels (1 module), and 4R/4T ARINC 717 channels (1 module)
  • 262-544-442
    2-core OmniBusBox II with a 2 multi-function MIL-STD-1553 channels (1 module) and 16 programmable R/T ARINC 429 channels (1 module)
  • 212-458-822
OmniBus II PCIe card with 8R/8T ARINC 429 channels with parametric control (1 module) and 2R/2T ARINC 708 channels with parametric control (1 module)
  • 222-441-000
OmniBus II PXIe card with 8 programmable R/T ARINC 429 channels (1 module) and an unpopulated core

CoPilot Software Option

To Include CoPilot analysis & test software, add "CP-" before the OmniBus II order number

Example: CP-264-544-441-454-811

CoPilot software is not licensed per copy or per computer. CoPilot is enabled to operate with a given piece of Astronics Ballard Technology hardware by purchasing a ‘key’ for the hardware.

The CoPilot license allows users to install the application on as many computers as desired, and when enabled hardware is connected, the system will be completely operational. However, each piece of Astronics Ballard Technology hardware which is to operate with the CoPilot Bus Analyzer software application must have its own purchased enabling key.
