General Atomics Recognizes Astronics Ballard Technology with Supplier Excellence Award
May 30, 2018—Astronics Ballard Technology received the 2017 Supplier Excellence Award from General Atomics. This award recognizes outstanding suppliers that contribute “to the timely, high-quality production of Predator®-series remotely piloted aircraft systems, radars, and electro-optic and related mission systems solutions to support security priorities worldwide.”
Jon Neal, Astronics Ballard Technology President, accepted the award for Astronics, saying “We are very honored to be recognized by General Atomics as one of their top suppliers. This accomplishment is because of the amazing people at Astronics Ballard Technology putting our culture of helpfulness into action every day!”
Astronics was recognized for “exemplary performance” for the second consecutive year, with 100% on-time delivery and quality in 2017, joining the prestigious top 1% of General Atomic suppliers.
“It is a privilege to work with General Atomics and a testament to the teamwork at Ballard. We really appreciate that Jim [Dinardi, Quality Assurance Senior Director] and Lonnie [McDonald, Manager Supplier Quality Engineer – Aircraft Systems] made a special trip to our facility to present the 2017 Supplier Excellence Award,” said Cory Martin, Quality Manager.
