Digital I/O Switch Card

The Astronics 1260-114 is a 96-channel digital I/O plug-in for the Adapt-a-Switch™ platform.

The 1260-114 is available in TTL, CMOS, OC (standard open collector) or HVOC (high voltage/current open collector) I/O channels, and is compatible for use with the VXI, LXI, or GPIB platform.

Product Information

The high channel count of the digital I/O plug-ins allows a significant portion of digital I/O to be realized in a single slot of the Adapt-a-Switch™ carrier, saving valuable VXIbus chassis space. The 1260- 114 provides 96 digital I/O channels in twelve groups of eight bits each.

Switch Card Carriers

The Adapt-a-Switch™ platform is a revolutionary, modular switch system that delivers unprecedented density and flexibility in a C-size, VXIbus module.

1260 Series Option 01 Smart Card

This smart card is a plug-in module that fits onto any 1260 series module and does not take up any additional space within the VXI mainframe. This smart card provides the message-based interface to the VXIbus, with all other 1260 Series switch modules slaved to it through the VXI local bus.

The Smart Card is addressed by the system controller over the VXIbus. Other switch modules in the mainframe are controlled by the Smart Card via the VXI local bus (LBus) interface. The Smart Card uses the LBus to provide all the control, scanning, delay and exclude capabilities. This product was formerly sold under the Racal Instruments brand name.

1260 Series Option 01T Switch Controller

The Option 01T is register- and message-based daughter board designed to install into any of the Astronics 1260 Series of switch modules, including the Adapt-a-Switch® Carrier, 1260-100.

This model supercedes the Option 01 above and should be used for all new applications. The Option 01T controls any combination of up to twelve 1260-Series switch modules and/or Adapt-a-Switch plug-in switch cards. If only the 1260-100 Adapt-a-Switch carrier module is being used in a test system, one Option 01T is necessary for every two 1260-100 carrier modules, as each carrier module can accommodate 6 switch cards.
