AS9100 Rev. C

As of November 5, 2011, Ballard Technology's quality management system is now in full conformance with AS9100 Rev. C. Rev. C marks the first major change to the AS9100 standard since the initial release in 1999 and expands the standard from aerospace to: aviation, space, and defense (land and sea) applications.

    The IWS Predictive Vibration Monitor Unit (VMU) product line and associated assets have been acquired by Astronics Ballard Technology. IWS is a leader in vibration monitoring technology for predicting fan and other rotating-component failures on commercial aircraft, eliminating costly flight exceptions. The acquisition broadens Astronics' product portfolio, gives us a stronger market position in the Aircraft Health Maintenance (AHM) arena, and will enhance our ability to develop the next generation of predictive monitoring solutions.
